Cricket, a Chihuahua

Meet Cricket! Cricket is a 10 year old female Chihuahua and she weighs about 10 pounds. She arrived in rescue when her previous human could no longer care for her. She has settled into foster care but is ready for a new human to call her very own! Her foster mom says, "Are you retired? Work remote? Never leave your house or if you do, you would like a tag along? Good with not having any personal space ever again? If you answered yes to all questions above then Cricket is perfect pup for you!! This girl LOVES to be with her human 24/7. Cricket is definitely a girls girl and warms up to ladies much quicker. She will follow you everywhere you go (unless of course she has already forced you to carry her). She will happily go into her sling if it means she gets to be with you. Cricket came in with some hair loss that will most likely never grow back but it certainly does not affect her cuteness!!  She will bark at strangers when they come into her home but settles after a bit.

Cricket will demand to sleep in the bed with her humans and feels sure she needs to give you a bath before y'all fall asleep. Once done giving you your kisses, she will curl up next to you under the covers. Stairs leading to the bed are a must! Cricket gets along well with other dogs after a few days, but would also be very happy as the only princess. She thinks during meal time that they should absolutely share their food with her, whether they want to or not. Cricket is not house trained, but it's a work in progress. If you are certain you are ready to lose all personal space and you have all the time to give to this sweet baby girl then apply today!" Cricket is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had her teeth cleaned! She is fostered in the Orlando area and her adoption donation is $275.

Mario, a Shih Tzu mix

Meet Mario! Mario is a 12-14 year old male Shih Tzu mix and he weighs about 14 pounds. He arrived in rescue just before Hurricane Milton, when he found himself at animal services with no one coming to claim him. His time was up right before the hurricane and he settled into a loving foster home, but is ready to find a forever family to call his own. His foster mom says, "Mario is the sweetest little man! Despite his older age, he can be a ball of energy and has no signs of slowing down! Mario loves to go on walks and spend time outside. He's friendly with everyone he passes and doesn't pull on his leash.

When he's inside, he loves nothing more than being cozy and cuddling. Mario is good with cats, respectful children and other dogs. Mario enjoys his food and loves treats after a walk! He enjoys playing fetch with tennis balls, but doesn't show much interest in other toys. Overall, he's a wonderful dog who is affectionate and very expressive... and he doesn't bark! Are you the one willing to give this sweet old man the best years of his life?" Mario is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had his teeth cleaned. He is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $225.

Coco, a Chihuahua

Meet Coco! Coco is a 10 year old male Chihuahua and he weighs about 9 pounds. He arrived in rescue when his previous family could no longer care for him. He has settled into foster care nicely but would love a forever family to call his very own. His foster mom says, "Meet my handsome foster boy Coco! He is a sweet guy, but shy at times. Once he is comfortable in his new home, he seeks out affection from you.

He will take a little time to adjust to his new surroundings. He loves to sleep in the bed with his humans and also enjoys hanging out on the couch with you.  Coco loves his food/treats and is very treat motivated (although he could use to lose a pound or two which we are working on). Although he currently lives with other pups, he would do best as an only pup (he isn't fond of sharing food/treats). Coco is very excitable when there is a knock on the door and he goes into protection mode, but then quickly calms down. He is not 100% house trained but will use a potty pad if one is available to him. A quiet home without children would be best for him.  Coco walks well on a leash and enjoys a short leisurely stroll." He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had his teeth cleaned. Coco is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $275.

Maxine, a Chihuahua/Papillion mix

Meet Maxine! Maxine is a 1 year old female Chihuahua/Papillion mix and she weighs about 9 pounds. She arrived in rescue after a stay at animal services and no one came to claim her, but her hold time was up right as Hurricane Milton was approaching and she needed to get out to safety. She has since settled into a loving foster home and her foster dad says she would love to introduce herself: Hi, my name is Maxine.  I’m a very playful and sweet little girl.  I love to run and jump, but I ALWAYS have time for belly rubs!

I am working on my house training as well as my crate training, but I will bark/whimper if I’m crated and I know people are in the house having fun without me.  I get along well with older kids and other dogs once I am comfortable.  I’m a big fan of chew toys and bones but I have been known to play with toys from time to time.  I can be picky when it comes to treats, so make sure you bring home the good ones.  If you’re looking for a playful new friend who is full of personality, you should definitely pick me! Maxine is spayed, up to date in vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. She is fostered in the Orlando area and her adoption donation is $325.

Monte, a Poodle/Doodle mix

Meet Monte! Monte is a 2-3 year old male Poodle/Doodle of some sort, but we really don't know exactly what. We can not say he is hypo-allergenic, so if you must have allergy friendly, he is not the pup for your home. Monte arrived in rescue after being found running loose and scared before the hurricane. No owner came forward for him after being held the legal amount of time through animal services. He is now ready to find his forever family. His foster mom says, "Monte is an incredibly smart boy!  He knows sit, give paw/high five. He is learning wait and getting much better on his recall. This handsome boy is highly trainable and picks up commands quickly.  Monte is an active boy and would make a great jogging companion. Although if you’re not into jogging he would also make an excellent walking partner. He does need a little more training on the leash as he pulls in excitement. A fenced in yard is preferred. He loves exploring the yard hunting for lizards. A home with senior humans or small children would not be a good fit for him.

Monte has been around small dogs and does well with them however he doesn’t realize his size so he needs a home with pups similar in size. He is a very loyal boy who wants to spend all his time with you so someone home for the better part of the day would suit him best. Monte MUST be crated when home alone. He will need a home with no shared walls - he has a big voice and knows how to use it. So far he only barks when you leave the house (does settle quickly in his crate) or if you are in another room and did not allow him to go with. He is house trained on a schedule.  A typical Doodle, Monte will need to be groomed every 6-8 weeks and the cost of that is usually around $100-125, so his family will need to be prepared for that expense. If you are an active family looking for a very smart ,loyal pup who wants to spend all his time with you then this handsome boy is the perfect pup for you!" Monte is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had his teeth cleaned. He is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $350.

Danielle, a Chihuahua mix

Meet Danielle! Danielle is a 5 month old female Chihuahua mix and she weighs about 7 pounds. She should stay under 20 pounds full grown, but we can not promise that. Danielle arrived in rescue after a stay at animal services and no one came to claim her, but her hold time was up right as Hurricane Milton was approaching and she needed to get out to safety. She has since settled into a loving foster home and her foster dad says she would love to introduce herself: Hi, my name is Danielle!  I’m a super sweet and friendly little girl, but I tend to be skittish at first until I get to know you. Although I’m not currently a huge fan of toys, I will play with them briefly from time to time.

I get along well with older kids and other dogs once I am comfortable. I sleep well through the night and I’m doing really well on house training, but I am still a puppy, so an occasional accident could happen.  I’d love another young fur friend to play with, but would also do ok as the only dog in the home.  I will need a family who is willing to help me learn all things puppy related (house training, leash walking, crate training, etc.)  Are you up for the puppy challenge?  If so, then you should definitely pick me! Danielle is spayed, up to date on vaccines, on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. She is fostered in the Orlando area and her adoption donation is $350.

Anderson, a Shih Tzu mix

Meet Anderson! Anderson is a 4-5 year old male Shih Tzu mix and he weighs about 12 pounds. He arrived in rescue after winding up at animal services with his stray hold up right as Hurricane Milton was approaching and no one came to claim him. He has since been settled in a loving foster home and is doing well. His foster mom says, "Don't let his small size fool you – this little guy has a big personality and a big dog bark! Anderson is as sweet as can be, often resting his head on your shoulder like a cuddly baby.

He's not shy at all and loves to be the center of attention. Anderson enjoys going on walks, but he can't resist stopping to investigate every tree, hydrant and pole. A true toy enthusiast, he carries his favorite toy around all day long. A fenced yard would be perfect for him to burn off some energy. Anderson is a loving and affectionate dog. He loves to sleep with his human and is great with older children, other dogs, and cats. A senior dog may not be a great, he plays as much as he loves. He's also well behaved and house trained, but can also use pee pads. However, he doesn't like being alone, so a home with someone who's home most of the time would be ideal (and no shared walls please!). If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion with a quirky personality, Anderson is the perfect dog for you. He's ready to bring joy and laughter into your life!" Anderson is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had his teeth cleaned. He is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $325.

Bodhi, an Aussiedoodle/Goldendoodle mix

Meet Bodhi! Bodhi is a 4 month old male Aussiedoodle/Goldendoodle mix and he weighs about 20 pounds. Hei is still growing and he could grow up to be over 35 pounds, but we can't really be sure. Bodhi arrived in rescue after being part of an accidental litter. He has been in a loving foster home and is thriving. He is an active puppy that will need a family up for all things puppyhood brings - leash training, house training, socialization and learning that flip flops are for feet, not food. “Doodles” are very smart and very active and need a family that will understand this, as well as their grooming needs. His foster mom says, "Bodhi is  very sweet, but VERY high energy. He loves to play! He can play a bit rough, so smaller dogs or senior pups would not be an ideal fit for him.

Bodhi is very exuberant and would not do well in a home with younger children or senior humans. He loves his toys and he is working on his master's degree in desqueaking them! He’s got a big voice and likes to use it when he thinks there are things we need to know, so a home without shared walls will be best for him! Bodhi is working on his house training and is doing well with a consistent schedule. He sleeps in his crate at night and will cry a little at first, but does settle. He will need patience when learning what is ok to chew and he is very curious about everything. He is a sweet boy who does love his humans and cuddles and snuggles too! Bodhi will make an amazing companion for some lucky humans!" He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on flea and heartworm prevention. Bodhi is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $500.

Princess, a Chihuahua/Poodle/Terrier mix

Meet Princess! Princess is a 5 year old Chihuahua/Poodle/Terrier mix and she weighs about 15 pounds. She arrived in rescue after being left at animal services when her family could not care for her. She was very scared there and needed to decompress in a foster home. She has settled in well and her foster mom says she would like to introduce herself: Hi! My name is Princess. My foster mommy calls me Pretty Pretty Princess!  I love my foster mommy, but I am ready to find a family of my own. I would love to be a spoiled only "princess". While I get along with the other dogs in the house,

I don't like the others joining me with my foster mommy snuggling on the couch watching reruns on TV (my favorite show is Mama's Family). I like to tuck myself in under a blanket to sleep. If you want to get my attention, food works every time! I'm very cautious around new people but once I get to know you, I'll be your best friend! I do not really like men very much and will bark at them, so I really need a girls-only home please!" Princess is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had her teeth cleaned. She is fostered in the Orlando area and her adoption donation is $300.

Molly, a Terrier mix

Meet Molly! Molly is a 8-10 year old female Terrier mix and she weighs about 10 pounds. She is a sweet girl who wound up at the shelter very scared, with an eye infection and a nearly ruptured eye. We had her eye removed and she is feeling much better. She has now settled into foster care nicely and is ready to find her forever family! Her foster mom says, "Molly may be totally blind but that doesn’t stop her!  Once she gets to know the “lay of the land” you would never know she is blind. She loves to play with other dogs and can wrestle with the best of them.  She can’t chase them and often times when she is playing her playmate will run off to start a game of chase and Molly looks confused like “where did they go?”

She loves scrubbies and will get very excited when you are paying attention to her.  At times when Molly doesn’t know where she is, she will army crawl around trying to figure a way out or to get to something familiar.  If she is looking for you, she will go from room to room making little noises.  If you hear her and call to her she will make a bee line to your voice.  Molly loves to snuggle in bed at night and will sleep in her foster mom’s arms to make sure she doesn’t fall off the bed.  Strangers can be scary to her but with a proper introduction and a little time for her to recognize a voice she is fine.  She has not been walking on a leash and will use the piddle pad if she can’t get out.  Molly would do great with another playful pup to help “show” her around and guide her through new experiences." Molly is up to date, spayed, current on vaccines, heartworm negative and has had her teeth cleaned. She is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $225.

Fancy, a Beagle/Chihuahua mix

Meet Fancy! Fancy is a 4.5 month old female Ceagle/chihuahua/who knows but she sure is cute mix and she currently weighs about 11 pounds. She should stay under 25 pounds full grown, but we honestly can't promise that as we don't know who daddy is - he didn't stick around (we guess he was trying to bail on pup support!). Momma is a Beagle/Chihuahua mix and she weighs about 19 pounds. Fancy arrived in rescue when Mom wound up at the shelter along with several other pups from a home where they were not properly being cared for. She has been raised in a loving foster home since she was a week old.

She has thrived and is ready to find a forever family to call her own. Her new family needs to be prepared for all things puppy - house training, leash training and learning what to chew and not chew. Her foster mom says: Fancy is all things puppy! If unlimited kisses is what you crave, she is your girl. She is still learning her manners, such as what is ok to chew on and what is not, walking on a leash, and house training. Fancy is a high energy pup who does fine with other dogs of all sizes. She loves to cuddle up on your lap and play with toys. She is also doing well about learning the leash and likes to go for walks! She is crate trained and ready to find her forever family! Fancy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. She is fostered in the Orlando area and her adoption donation is $350.

Prime, an Aussiedoodle/Goldendoodle mix

Meet Prime! Prime is a 9 month old male Aussiedoodle/Goldendoodle mix and he weighs about 45 pounds. He is still growing and could grow to be over 60 pounds, but we are not sure. Prime arrived in rescue after being surrendered by his breeder. He has been in a loving foster home but is ready for a forever family that is full of energy, just like he is! His foster mom says, "Prime is such a young, spunky puppy that has so much life and love to give! He has a ton of energy and if you have a huge yard or farm where you can be outside playing with him, that is such a plus for this young guy! He knows sit, speak, paw and high five.

He is very food and treat motivated and is not picky at all. Prime also rides very well in the car. He will need a younger, high energy canine companion. He thrives the best when he has another dog around. Prime is house and kennel trained for the most part and he has very few accidents. He is crate trained, but does bark sometimes while you’re gone. (No shared walls). He has not been around cats or children, but should be ok with older, dog savvy kiddos." Prime is neutered, up to date on vaccines, on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. He is fostered in the Flagler Beach area and his adoption donation is $350.

Ozzie, a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound mix

Meet Ozzie! Ozzie is a 1year old male Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound/something really cute mix and he weighs about 16 pounds. He arrived in rescue after winding up at animal services as a stray and no one came to claim him. His hold time was up right as Hurricane Milton was approaching. He has been in a loving foster home ever since, but is ready to find a family to call his own. His foster mom says, "This young boy is so full of love and life. He has so much love to give. He enjoys playing with other dogs, but at times he gets protective of his "person". Due to this, he would be best as the only dog in the home, but he totally loves playing with other dogs when he is out and about. He is 100% house trained in the house and his kennel. He gets a bit of anxiety when going into the kennel at first, but he settles. He eats very well and is always wanting to learn something for a snack. Ozzie is going to need a family that can get him quite a bit of exercise. He enjoys doing laps and laps and more laps around the yard, and also loves to take walks around the neighborhood.

He is easy going and can hangout with you on the couch, but he is very energetic and loves to stay busy (lick mats and food puzzles are his best friend). He would love to sleep in the bed with you. (His crate is in our room). He gets along with smaller and larger dogs and loves to play outside of the home. I'm unsure of kids and cats as I don't have either, but he jumps on you when he's excited (we are working on that) so probably no small kids. Ozzie is such a loving boy and is ready to be home with you." He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had his teeth cleaned. Ozzie is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $300.

Loki, a Puggle mix

Meet Loki! Loki is a 3 year old male Puggle mix and he weighs about 20 pounds. He arrived in rescue when his previous family was no longer able to care for him. He has settled into foster care, but would love a family to call his own. His foster mom says, "Hi everybody, meet Loki. Like his namesake, he is a little mischievous and likes to chase squirrels and lizards. He does not have an “off button” and is always trying to play. Tug is one of his favorite games and he likes it when the humans play too. He is working on his house training and is improving with more of a set schedule. He will sometimes use a potty pad as a backup. Loki walks well on a leash but will need a harness for walks, or even a quick potty break. He has a tendency of trying to escape his collar. Once he warms up to you, Loki likes to be around people and will follow you around the house.

He wants to sleep on a human bed, but he doesn’t stop playing so if you want any sleep, you’ll have to put him up for the night. Loki doeesn't like to cuddle. He currently sleeps on a dog bed in the primary bathroom and is pretty good with sleeping through the night. Loki will play with other dogs but should really be the only dog in his forever home as he doesn’t like to share his food or treats and gets anxious when other pups are around at meal/snack time. I don’t think he would like to have a cat or any small animals. He also doesn’t realize his strength, so he shouldn’t have a family with younger than 13 year old kids around." Loki is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had his teeth cleaned. He is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $275.

Willie, a Chihuahua mix

Meet Willie! Willie is a 1 year old male Chihuahua mix and he weighs about 10 pounds. He arrived in rescue after winding up at animal control because the home he was living in had too many dogs. Willie was scared and nervous, so he came to rescue. He has settled into foster care nicely and is ready to find a forever home to call his own.  His foster mom says, "Willie is a very handsome boy with the most beautiful eyes! He was super nervous and shy when he first came into our home. Now that he has settled in, he is super loving and sweet. He loves to shower you with kisses and loves a good belly rub while hanging out on your lap. When meeting new people, it takes him about 10 -15 mins to warm up.  Willie can be very playful at times. He likes to put your hand in his mouth and nibble on your fingers (totally playing/not being mean.) For this reason, I will not put him with small children as it may scare them.

Willie came in with other dogs that he gets along great with but will need to do slow intros if you have another pup in the home.He would do best with pups his size or smaller as bigger ones make him nervous.  Willie is not fully house trained yet but we are working on this. He is terrified of a leash and collar so a fenced in backyard is a must while he learns leash training. Update: He gets along with large dogs who can tolerate his “energy”. Recommend a home with a dog buddy to help him with his anxiety when left without his person. He walks very well on leash with his dog buddy. He is very treat motivated and needs redirection with happy nipping and a sturdy chew toy helps his chewing needs. He can now tolerate short stays in sturdy crate with decreased anxiety but would not do well for a full work day in crate. He attaches to his person and is slowly doing better letting other people pet him without immediately running away. Willie doesn't tolerate cates wouldn't do well in a home with younger children due to overstimulation/noise and chewing hazards with small toys. He will put any small found item in his mouth to chew including yard choking hazards so he needs to be watched when playing in a fenced yard." Willie is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchip and has had his teeth cleaned! He is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $300.

Kingsley, a Shih Tzu mix

Meet Kingsley! Kingsley is a 4 year old male Shih Tzu mix and he weighs about 14 pounds. He found himself surrendered to animal services right before Hurricane Milton and in need of a safe place to go, as he was very scared at the shelter. He arrived in rescue and has been doing great and is ready to find a forever family to call his own. His foster mom says, "He is a little shy with new people at first, but with time and a few treats, he comes around. Kingsley loves to leave the house for a walk, where he can sniff around and discover new smells. He also loves the car! He will sit strapped into his doggie car seat and watch the world go by the window! Kingsley would love a family that is home more than they are out. He has a bit of separation anxiety when left alone and doesn’t settle down until you return (so a home without shared walls is ideal).

He is a smart and sweet boy, but would do best in a home without other dogs. Human siblings (older kiddos) would be fine! Kingsley has plenty of energy to run and play in the yard, but he is just as happy curled up next to you on the couch. He currently sleeps in a crate next to his foster mom's bed each night, but he would love to sleep in bed with you. He hasn't had an overnight accident and is crate/house trained as long as he is taken out on a schedule. Kingsley would love to be the newest member of your family!" He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had his teeth cleaned. Kingsley is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $325.
